Freestate Festival is a family food event tailored around a KOTA, we bring about different Kota Flavours in the city of Bloemfontein Central, the aim is to showcase what Kasi has to offer when it comes to food, but in the city rather than having people to drive out and go look for Kota's around. We cater for everyone.

Botanical Garden, Bloemfontein
This garden, on the outskirts of Bloemfontein, spans a valley between picturesque dolerite koppies. The natural vegetation comprises tall grassland and woodland, dominated by magnificent wild olive and karee trees. The harmony of the Garden has been achieved by retaining and highlighting the best elements of the natural landscape.

How do I apply for a Kota stall and what is the process?
To apply for a Kota Stall visit our website and click on Storeller Portal Tab, We work on first come first serve basis. We will be taking about 30 different KOTA stalls at a reasonable amount. We take any stall that will speak to the event.

Will Kids entetainment be available? and what to bring on the day?
Kids entertainment will be provided e.g. own stage, sound & lights, Jumping Castle, Bumpy rides, playstations, etc. It's a picnic vibe, you can bring a camp chair, towel, cooler box, picnic basket, etc.

Will parking be made available?
Yes, at a reasonable fee of R50 you will get a secured parking.

What time is the event starting and ending?
Doors will be opened at 10am and we will be ending the event at 10pm.

Which artists that are part of the line-up?
Artists will be kept a secret until the day of the event, the aim is to make sure we give you the best Kota experience more than anything, anything else is a bonus.
